Session on measuring and evaluating cycling infrastructure
14 October 2024 - Session on measuring and evaluating cycling infrastructure
The renewed interest in the use of bicycles and other vehicles that use cycle paths has been growing in recent years.
Further development of the cycle infrastructure network requires technical support and evaluation of surface characteristics.
With this in mind, BRRC has carried out the pre-normative research project SuChar-BiLan (Surface Characteristics of Bicycle Lanes) aimed at analysing several parameters for the safety, comfort and energy consumption of the users of cycling infrastructure.
On 14 October 2024, the BRRC is organising an information session at which the results of this project will be presented.
The day will be structured around presentations, an exhibition of measuring equipment and instruments, and a lunch at which fruitful discussions can be held with national and international experts and participants.
A parallel session in English is planned for people from abroad. On this page, you can register for this parallel session.
